MISR measurements are designed to improve our understanding of the Earth's environment and climate. Viewing the sunlit Earth simultaneously at nine widely-spaced angles, MISR provides radiometrically and geometrically calibrated images in four spectral bands at each of the angles. Spatial sampling of 275 and 1100 m is provided on a global basis. These data products are available in HDF-EOS format.
Check the Table of Orbits Available for a complete inventory of products available. This Table lists successful executions of the MISR Product Generation Executables (PGEs) to determine which products are available. Searches are done by Orbit Number, by Orbit Date, or by Orbit Path. Production of MISR data currently runs three to four weeks behind the acquisition date. Even then, all data will not necessarily be available. Also, products produced in the very early part of the mission, prior to June 1, 2000, are not available.
NOTE that the files from the nadir (AN) camera are larger than the files from the oblique cameras because the AN data are in 1 x 1 pixel resolution in all four spectral bands. Data from the oblique cameras are 1 x 1 pixel resolution in the red band and 4 x 4 pixel resolution in the green, blue, and near-infrared bands.
MISR Data Products in Support of the SAFARI 2000 mission are now available.
If this is your first experience ordering the MISR data products, please read the EDG Search and Order Tips.
NOTE: Searching by MISR Path and/or Orbit is now available.Order MISR Data via the EOS Data Gateway (or try an EDG location near you).
