The subset contains the same 27 Scientific Data Sets (SDSs) as the full granule, but the arrays are smaller. The arrays are in the same sequence in the subset and the granule. They contain the 1 km aggregates of MODIS Bands 1 and 2 (the 250m bands), and Bands 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 (the 500m bands). Bands with data collected at 1 km resolution are not part of this sample. The full-resolution data products are available as separate products. No geographical subsetting was performed (see "wide-area image" below). The data are contained in two HDF Scientific Data Sets within subset_MOD02_243.1850.hdf, one for the 250m bands, and one for the 500m bands. These are arrays with rank = 3, and dimensions (2, 2030, 1354) and (5, 2030, 1354) respectively; 2030 is the number of data elements in the "along-track" dimension, and 1354 is the number of elements in the "across-track" dimension.
