The CD-ROM contains sample EOSDIS data and documentation for the benefit of potential users of NASA's remotely sensed data.

There are many different ways to navigate among the pages displayed by an HTML Web viewer:

• The top menu bar provides links to the The Wildfire Event page for additional images and information, as well as links to pages with information about the missions and instruments, data, and data-viewing tools.

• The second menu bar on each page, if present, provides a handy "jump" capability to sections of that page.

• Tables organize "Local Links" and "Web Links" allowing the user to "drill down" to more detailed information.

• Other Local Links in the text are used to provide access to documentation and information:
  • Remotely sensed, sample coincident data for the Western US Wildfires 2000 acquired over the same geographic area, within a short range of time.
